About the Gabriella Handbag
The Gabriella Handbag features a zipper pocket flap that extends the full depth of the bag, a "hidden" interior slip pocket, spacious body with an interior zipper pocket and a crossbody strap.
Approximate measurements:
Width 12"
Height 10" (without ears)
Depth 3"
I love cats and I love bag making, so I wanted to combine both and create my own cat bag. Named after Gabby (Gabriella) my heart cat. Gabby was a huge part of my life and one half of the reason I started The Empurrium, I can’t think of a better way to honor her than to name my first bag pattern after her.
You can make this bag with or without whatever cat features you’d like. You can leave them all off or maybe you just want to add the face? It’s your choice!

Materials List
½ Yard Exterior Fabric (vinyl)
½ Yard Lining Fabric (WPC or woven*)
¼ Yard Interfacing (Decovil Light)
20” of #5 Zipper Tape and three #5 Zipper Pulls
Two ¾” D-Rings
Four 9mm Double Cap Rivets (6 if you want to use rivets on strap)
One Slide Adjuster and 2 Snap Hooks in desired strap width
18mm Magnetic Snap
⅛” Double-Sided Tape
Accent Vinyl scraps for nose and inner ear pieces (optional/if making cat features)
*NOTE: Your exterior fabric choice will determine if you want to add any extra interfacing. My suggestion is a vinyl exterior with the Decovil Light interfacing. If you would like to use woven for the exterior I would suggest using woven interfacing on the whole piece with the Decovil light interfacing piece also on it.
